Question by Stasia: How to get from Gatwick Airport to Piccadilly Circus?
I’m going to be spending a few days in London next week. What would be the easiest way to get from Gatwick Airport to Picadilly Circus, which is where our hotel is located? We will have a lot of luggage with us and least 3 piece for me and 3 for my husband. Any recomendations?

take the gatwick express (train)to victoria. Its designed for ppl with luggage.
From there get a cab, no more than 15 quid. Dont go on the tube with your luggage, that would be a version of hell!
Have a good stay.

Take the Gatwick Express (train) from the South Terminal. It will take you directly to Victoria Station. Then take a cab to Piccadilly Circus. The total trip will take you about 1 hour. There is also a tube line (Piccadilly line) that will take you to Piccadilly but it would be a hassle to take your luggage from Victoria down to the tube (many escalators) then onto the tube which is usually pretty crowded.

Have a great trip!

If you are new to the country I would recommend you get a Taxi from the airport to your hotel. It will cost you more than public transport, but with all your luggage it will be more convenient.

Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station, then get a cab. It’s the best way. If you are going to be getting a Britrail Pass, they can be used for the Gatwick Express.

Directions to Piccadilly Circus:

From Gatwick airport: Take Gatwick Express to Victoria Station; transfer to Victoria line to Green Park; transfer to Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus stop.

It’s a great town. Just don’t leave any money or real valuables in your hotel rooms unless you hide it well. I don’t know how old you are but be sure you buy a “Time Out” to find out what’s going on, where, and what it costs and especially find out the dress code as London is very strict on wearing the appropriate attire. Lots of places will not let you in (night clubs I mean) in jeans and runners. Someplaces won’t let you in if you have a suit and tie on and so on.
Have fun!
Go online and print the London Tube Map.

If you dont want the expense of a Cab, which is the best way with all that luggae, the Gatwick Express runs about every twenty minutes to Victoria Station, then either cab or underground.

Given the amount of luggage you have, you really want to avoid too many interchanges.

I would take the Gatwick Express rail service to Victoria Station and then take a taxi
